I've developed some mobility issues which have considerably affected how I get around to take pictures. Earlier this week, I found out a selfie stick could help considerably in getting unusually low subjects in my sights. As things have turned out, my cell has an unusually good fixed focus for taking flower pictures but I have difficulty bending over or walking on uneven surfaces. So, once I understood how a selfie stick works with complete freedom to orient the camera literally anywhere I want, I started experimenting with using it to take pictures of flowers from unusual angles. I've started with some succulents which have replaced more traditional flowers in gardens near where I volunteer and I'm getting some really neat pictures that I'd never be able to get by aiming from 5.5 feet off the ground and not being able to bend over. But, the selfie stick lets me put my eye level where the flowers are and they look pretty good, from virtually all angles. Some of them are uploaded at the end of this posting. Hope this helps somebody else. virginia
