Nicely captured, great use of shadows, tones and patterns.

Well seen and captured Sergio. Clever use of the screen and perfect for mono.

    Thanks, John, much appreciated.
Yes, I definitely preferred mono for this photo.

Good capture... I like that the subject is lit by full sun but, is soon to enter a shadowed area...

And I was just reading about an article yesterday about how a photographer looks at an image or analyzes it before pressing the shutter button , one more of those nice articles that illustrates lines and shapes like rectangles and squares. Very nice composition. Nicely seen. I love it...and beginning to understand that kind of thinking.

This is the kind of picture I love - texture, geometry and form juxtaposed against a human dimension. And superbly executed - I'd be very proud of this picture had I taken it. Great image Sergio.

In terms of proportion I find it interesting that the figure is 1/3 of the way into the whole image, but is also 1/3 way across the screen display. It somehow adds to the balance and structure for me. I would however have levelled the image by about 1/2 degree to make the verticals vertical and horizontals horizontal - must be my engineering psyche at work there...

I just tried to level it myself and can now appreciate the geometric complexity of the wall. There appears to be no perpendicular line of sight to the whole structure. I found the screen to be my focal point and I leveled that and it worked for me, but of course the upper part of the wall will not be square... VERY interesting structure.

Awesome shot Sergio. My only one suggestion is a possible crop off the top, bringing the top of the image down to right where the downward angle begins on the upper LHS. I don't think you lose anything of value in cropping off that small part of the image and to me it just neatens up the whole thing. Great shot.

Henri Cartier-Bresson would just love this photo, as do I.

And that is as a good an assessment as one could formulate. Straight out of the HCB textbook.

Sounds like a really interesting article, Izzie. I like reading that kind of stuff myself.

Simon, thanks for such a great compliment. I've always liked this wall (part of the Tobin Center for the Performing Arts) and finally got something I was after.

Trev, as I mentioned to Simon this is part of the Tobin Center for the Performing Arts. I always come by here on my walks downtown. This was my second visit on this particular day looking for better light. I not only got the light, but also this lovely lady walking into the scene.
Thanks for your interest and comment.

Thanks, Jack, I will definitely take a look and give it a try.
