    Holy Man at Srirangapatna

Srirangapatna is an ancient, historical and holy place in Southern India. One of the holy rivers, the Kaveri encircles the town. As with holy places, one can see holy men there. This is one of several shots I took from the river banks.

Another nice study Manfred. A curious mixture of ancient and modern, the modern being his shopping bag.

Another colorful shot, Manfred. Great exposure too. That food in front of him, is that an offering? Did he put it there himself of did someone made an offering to him? If it is the latter, is he supposed to eat it?

Am I asking the right question to the wrong person here?

He was making rice balls. Whether these are food or offerings or both, I don't know.

Great shot. My only qualm about this photo is I haven't got one.
    Cheers Ole
