    Creatures great and small

Another hot and humid day - I didn't get too far on my bush walk before retreating under sustained attack from hoards of mozzies. But this is what I saw.

(All taken with the 75-300mm II, except the last - 60mm macro)

I startled Skippy who was having a snooze.

He only ran a few yards before thinking "Hey, why am I running? I'm big enough to kick you into the next county".
    Creatures great and small

    A couple of butterflies.
    Common Crow.
    Creatures great and small

Melanitis Leda Bankia - these usually hide on the ground amongst leaves.
    Creatures great and small

    A spider wasp

An Organ-pipe Mud Dauber wasp. Busy building.
    Creatures great and small

A little crab building a burrow.
    Creatures great and small

A Galah - one of Australia's most stupid birds.

Nice series and variation of wildlife, well worth the venture.

I love it! I feel like wanting to look for some more. Unfortunately there is an end to everything...I like the digging wasp and please do not call that galah stupid...even mozzies has a purpose. We probably will not understand why some creatures are part of our living conditions...yet. There might come a time you might be able to talk to the galah, who knows?...

OK...time to go to bed before I believe what I am saying...

Gorgeous and maybe a game changer for me. I have been wondering about what route to go for lenses. I shall look into the equivalent that you have used for my Sony Alpha.

Very good set of images Dicky. The galah seems to giving you a rude sign!
