Valentines Day
Last month I entered two prints in a juried exhibition--one selected, one rejected. Just before Valentines Day my wife and I went the see the exhibition. This was not just photography, but all types of art work.
While wondering through the gallery, I found this piece which seemed a little too abstract. The staff told me a young man was bringing his girlfriend by on Valentines Day and wanted to hang this framed envelope in the gallery. I don't know how many clues there were, but the staff assumed the final clue was a ring and a proposal.
I just found the story interesting.

Re: Valentines Day
You could critique this piece till the end of time and it wouldn't make much difference; I guess only the sweetheart would find it priceless.

Re: Valentines Day
Well, I wonder how many people came to gallery and asked about the envelope too? It certainly started a conversation for one. I did that to my husband last year for his birthday but only around the house. The card had been read and the bottle of wine emptied after a while...the smile on his face was my reward as he went along with my little game. Partners, husband and wives, girlfriends and boyfriends should do this kind of thing even just once in their lifetime...
