    Head above water

I had a tough time getting this image. Should of be easy capturing this slow moving large 14" turtle but very strong reflections and lousy lighting made it tough. The turtle was very friendly and would follow me around the dock while peering up at me. He/she eventually got bored before I did and swam away.

Nice capture, a polarizing filter would cut down on some of the reflections.

I like Dave. For those that have not tried, it's a challenge.

I like this, it has an abstract quality about it. At first I wondered about the round thing poking above the surface and had to read your explanation; then I noticed the lines of the shell beneath the water. And it is the fact that it is not immediately obvious and that the head blends in with the reflections that make it attractive to me.

I like it. The reflections accentuate the texture/waves on the water. Perhaps a lower angle might have been interesting. A truly dedicated soul would have climbed on in with him

What make me think I knew someone (and it has to be Dan...) that would suggest such a low shot? He once said that diving straight on to the water is for the sake of art...I try to avoid water since before it kills me...

Anyway, call it an abstract and you'll get away with it. Actually, it is a beautiful shot, reflections and all...
