    Na Pancha

Ņa Pancha is short for "Doņa Pancha" , typical 18th century black woman who worked in the house of the Spanish nobility in Lima Peru, usually as a cook.

She is a formidable figure and looks very happy to be sitting down. You caught her good humour very well I thought.

The lady looks formidable but kind. I think you have captured both aspects.

I like this one Javier but from your account, I thought that everyone does their own thing and not have someone cooking for them anymore. I should go out more...

I am sorry, I did not explain more about the lady, the pic was taken in a showroom of Pisco (it is a liquor from Peru) and the lady was dressed as a cook of the past century. They had a reputation for good cooks was

    Nice image, Javier.

Hey, I remember drinking pisco in Cuzco on my birthday. As I recall, it was here's a bottle of Pisco and a litre of coke. Come back when you have finished! (En espaņol, por supuesto)

That's a colourful image and a cheerful lady. The name "Pancha" sounds a bit cheeky. Does it refer to the fact that the cooks had big paunches or that they tended to the needs of the nobility's stomachs?

Tony, Pancha is short for Francisca, or Pancho for Francisco, it was a common name.
