    Also quite colorfull.

You mention 2 aspects: 1.other Lima and 2. poor neighbourhood.

    1.
Mentioning something as "other Lima" means you compare it with something else. That something else is unknown for me.

    2.
Poorness is a relative notion. Fom your picture I only see colorful houses. Nothing that gives me an idea that it's a poor neigbourhood.

I probably do understand what you mean. But it's important for a photorapher showing his pictures to step out of his own body and try to look at it as somebody who doesn't know anything of those places. What would you say if you don't know of the other "other Lima"? Like me.
    You need something more.

    Though it makes me curious.

I think your general point is fair, but viewed in Lytebox, it does seem clear that this is not a rich area.

Javier - I like your image!

Indeed the bright colors don't obscure the evident disrepair when the image is viewed large. Clearly not an area that most tourists would ever see.

    Hi Javier,

I have to say this image is what I consider to be Lima, rightly or wrongly; we don't see much else of Lima over here, perhaps we need a shot of your other 'other' Lima to compare.

It is a good shot with three depth layers and nice composition.

Well done (and welcome to the CiC forums - I don't think I have responded to one of your posts until now), Dave

Works well for me. Some bright colours but the saturation is well under control.

It was unknown to me too, in spite of once being there. I was in Lima in 1973, before the wall was built. I got curious about the "other", and it has its explanation.

    Unbelievable.

Thanks for the info. I'll try to read some more about it. I only don't speak Spanish.

    Javier,
I think you have some subjects there to try some documantary photography. It's not easy. You have to bring a story, both in word and pictures. Go for it.
