    McWay Falls

Down the coast from Monterey, California (along Highway 1 – Pacific Coast Highway), is a place called McWay Falls – inside the Julia Pfeiffer Burns State Park. Here you will find McWay Creek feeding McWay Falls, and ending on the beach in a nice protected cove (conveniently call McWay Cove). No, I do not know who McWay was.

There is no access to the beach (and it is not allowed anyway). While I was there waiting for the sunset, a couple really big wave came in and the swamped the rocks in the middle of the cove.

Nice scene, well captured John. The blues look a little over-saturated to me, but that's just my taste. Maybe that's exactly how they were.

Excellent; i really like the color of the water... is that a spring or stream from the hill seen flowing down on the left side?

Thank you for the comments, everyone.

Nandakumar, yes, that is a stream/waterfall in the upper left corner - that is the actual McWay Falls

It is oversaturated but that actually works in this instance.

    Re: McWay Falls

I just googled McWay Falls to see if this is privately owned and there seems to be little or some information about it. I have only seen one waterfall near the ocean and that was when we got lost in Palawan (Philippines in 1981.) Anyway, this looks like a beautiful place. Even more so I like your processing here..
