6 OK, this one is a bit of cheat! Let's call it "Shooting in to the Light Emitting Diode"

Something in pic one seems a little harsh on my eyes , missing a smooth flow or too much going on the others are classics and as usual you do terrific art. Gotta love the raft standing out.
1. Nicely captured, a tricky shot to get detail under the cap.
2. Nicely done; even with the errant sun spot.
3. No words can pay tribute.
4. Nicely composed, could've used a bit more palm tree top.
5. Nicely capture and with a bit of natural selective coloring.
6. Nice effort.
Did you flatten the side of the LED, or does it come like that?
Personally, I would have preferred #1 without that trail in the sky; and #2 without the sun being present plus a very slight crop from the bottom.
Otherwise, they look excellent to me.
Hi John
Re #2; I recall cloning out a few other 'sunspots' and just left that one
Re #4; As I recall, I was shooting these from a sitting position, with the camera on my lap, using the LiveView and tilted LCD screen to compose - as such, it was necessarily shot with camera in landscape/horizontal orientation, then severely cropped to give the 'frame' of two trees - I guess I didn't shoot wide enough to include more at the top
Thanks for your comments, Dave
These photos make me wonder only why Dave doesn't display his images more often. I actually wonder if this is the first time I've seen his images.
Great set, Dave, and #2 and #3 are absolutely golden.
Good to see you posting photos.
Sergio
These are all wonderful just as they are. They are, I think, the first that I have seen from you and now I understand why you are here.
Perhaps i am wrong but shouldn't it be shooting 'into'?
PS great shots. and should I get a mod to correct your title?
All excellent shots, Dave...
1 Be a clever William (chauncey) and push those lights inside the lamp so they don't spill out too much (ala smoke). Is it possible.
2. A sun worshiping bird worshiping. Very nice...
3. Perfect!
4. Framed!
5. Nice selective colouring.
6. End.
I am speechless as you can see... as I know why you did a series of images from your shots of before...for me! because I whinged to you about not being able to upload multiple shots in Tiny Pics. Well, it is still happening yesterday so I will try again today when the sun is up...Thank you for sharing these beautiful images. I like them all.
1. Nah - I'm going to re-shoot this, but not today as too cloudy, I think the smoke you are referring to was a high (very high) thin cloud layer, plus the aircraft contrail
2. Actually, I was shooting this Grey Heron rather closer and at 90 degrees to sun, bathed in the glow when it flew off (every bird shooters nightmare revisited), but then it landed just a little way along, looking in to the sun. That's actually the reflection of the sun we see there, the sun itself was (I think) obscured (from me) by the bridge across the river, which is the strange grill-like effect on the water.
3. IIRC the third had a lot of benefit from CiC feedback to arrive at this final version
4. Yup
5. OK at a distance, but I did find an untidy edge when I pixel peeped it last night
6. "End"? no, not the end, there's now a seventh
Thanks Izzie
Cheers, Dave
PS I'll PM you about TinyPic, these don't use it, but I have tried elsewhere and it worked for me.
