Tea Picker #2

This is actually the first tea picker image I took yesterday, but was struggling a bit with the PP work. Her head covering provided some shade to her face, but I had an issue with a low contrast face in a high contrast scene. I think I've worked out an appropriate PP approach.

I cannot say it is a beautiful shot because it isn't. I like the other tea lady shot with the eye contact with your camera. This is just nicely processed. Sorry.

I don't think either of the shots are beautiful shots, nor are they meant to be.

I find that too many images that I see taken of people who live and work in developing countries are little more than caricatures, and that is something I am striving to avoid. I want to show people who is responsible for that lovely cup of tea you are enjoying as well as giving a view of the working conditions. There's nothing beautiful about that, but treating these people respectfully in my images is my goal.
