Raging sea

I went out this morning, took some disappointing photos, got home, deleted them and then looked into my archive and tweaked this.

The beach below here was so covered in sea foam that it looked as if it had snowed. At least the murk effectively hides the massive nuclear complex at Sellafield (just left of the headland on the horizon, one of the towers just visible above the land). This was the tail of Hurricane Katia hitting St Bees in 2011.

Really great ...yet don't know why i feel mismatch of scales... were you shooting from a higher plane or standing on that walkway?... a bit confused

Thanks Nandakumar. I was stood on the footpath next to the fence, possibly a little bit higher because the path climbs somewhat. The green stuff is gorse bushes, highest maybe 4 feet high (bushes with very sharp prickly thorns). The cliff drops here a few hundred feet to the sea

Actually, sizes of the trees were my great confusion...I was wondering why they looked so dwarf; now I get it

WOW! This is a nice image Dave I would crop the blue part of the sky , then IMO the composition and the stormy mood would get stronger

Your photo is great and makes me want to do a path like that if I get to your part of the world. I would probably sacrifice the image of the reactor if it guaranteed a nice day! Still, the weather plays a great part in the atmosphere of your image.

Where you are might be blue skies at the time but there was drama there that was about to unfold the way the clouds are forming...very nice shot. I love it.
