Evening at home
Donald's thread got me thinking: I am not very patriotic but I do love my home. My garden doesn't have the most spectacular vista, but it is blessed by facing west with London between me and the setting sun. Pollution is bad unless you like sunsets, in which case it is great. We will be selling up shortly and moving to a bigger house - before buying this place I lived in shared and rented accommodation for roughly 15 years, so this is the first place that has felt like a real home for a long time. I will miss it and its stunning sunsets - this was pretty tame by our standards but was made special as we ate dinner together and watched it as a family.
Comments welcome of course - I have tried to make the best of a limited canvas.

It's a lovely image and I hope it will look good on the wall in your new home. Btw, I don't think you have to be patriotic to love where you live, but it is a privilege to love where you live because not everyone gets that opportunity.

Simon -- a wall hanger for sure. I understand for a good time that the word 'patriotic' means love of country. Loving where you live is a privilege -- that I completely agree with Kaye, as with other choices, too and many reason as well as to why leave a place.
