It's been six or seven weeks since my last haircut and I was starting to look rather unkempt, so it was time for a haircut. I visited a small barber shop in the downtown area of Bangalore. I had my camera along and took this shot of the shop's owner, cutting another customer's hair through the rather dirty mirror. The shop was poorly lit with a mixture of indirect daylight and fluorescent lights (nicely said, ugly colours / mixed light), so I decided that B&W would be the way to go.
The haircut set me back 80 Rupees (about $Cdn 1.60).
This man seemed quite uncomfortable the whole time he was sitting in the barber's chair. This struck me as something quite unusual, as most me have gone through the process of having their hair cut many, many times. His unease was so striking, and ultimately why I took this shot.
