    Sunset, C&C welcome

    Hi all,
below a picture I took some days ago at sunset. I would know your feedback about, expecially, the motion blur of the water in the foreground. Does it works?
    Any other criticism?
    Thank you!

    Nicola

I'm seeing a picture of what I think is two twin exhaust tips (possibly for a bmw m3, but that's a guess) on a beige carpet Nicola

    Can you upload it again?

Nicely captured, I think for this particular composition the dreamy waves work, there are more desirable elements in the foreground that overshadow the waves.

Same here. That does happen with Tinypics uploads sometimes but usually self corrects after a little while.

    Hi Nicola

I can see the proper image. These rogue images sometimes seem to appear only in certain locations .

I like your image very much, the light is very nice. The water appearance works well for me, just the right amount of blurring.

Nicely done, Nicola. The motion works well in that image. The sky is awesome. What is the ladder looking structure?

Since I don't use tinypics I'll help out here and host her photo until Nicola gets it squared away on tinypics. Cause you guys need to see this shot. Nicola if you don't want me to do so let me know and I'll take it down

I can see it now, thanks to Dan - and I'm glad I can. Beautiful image Nicola, the composition and colours are so strong.

    Thank you very much Dan!

The structure is a akind of wharf, used on summertime (once paved) to let divers to plung in the sea where the water is not so shallow

    Exactly,
at very first reading, that "her" slipped out of my sight

    Ehanks Dave

Maybe I should change the avatar...

Just for chatting, the gender mistake with my name, even if very frequent, sounds strange a bit to me, since the english Nicholas is as common as Nicole...

Thank you to all for the appreciation,
by the way, I post even an other version, the same scene captured some minutes later. I prefer the first one, anyway what's your thought?

I like both of these images but, like you, I prefer #1 (due to the glorious color).

I can't say that I prefer one over the other. They are two completely different images. The first is very dynamic with motion and vivid colors. The second is soothing with the misty effect and pastel shades.

I speak Spanish so no doubt have a tendency to apply the same gender "rules" to the other Latin based languages, assuming words ending in "a" to be feminine and "o" to be masculine.

If that is the worst error that I make the rest of my life I'll be content.

Although there are places in the US now that one can be prosecuted for making a mistake when referring to another person's (chosen) gender.
