Purple clumps - white candles - red and yellow candles finally becoming red tubes
Usually it is caterpillars to butterflies when I think transformation. But this plant starts with the purple clumps which separate into the white candles which then become yellow and red candles and finally transform into the long red tubes that the Sun Birds and some butterflies feed on. (at least that is how I think it works)

Looks good to me, Brian.
That bright spot going out of the frame in the top left corner is slightly distracting so I would have a go at cloning it out.
It seems like one of those odd situations where a complete spot would be acceptable but going outside the frame like that appears distracting.

One of those examples when you just have to wonder about nature!
If it were mine Brian, I think I would clone out all the yellow light patches appearing between the structure.
However, as Geoff says, the one at the edge of frame is the most important.
A decent capture of the various stages of development in one image though.
Cheers, Dave

I did tone it down and considered removing it but I thought (albeit incorrectly) that the trinity of yellow/green made a nice bg diagonal. Live and learn.
