Mt Crosby Pumping Station
This is another example of a large brick building for utilitarian purposes. The build date would be about the beginning of last century. It is on the Brisbane River about 40km by road from the city centre. The pumping station supplies all the water for Brisbane. You can see the beginning of the setup for a talk on its history.

The water is pumped up a long way and then runs by gravity feed to most of the city. The picture is not really successful because it is hard to get the feeling of height and I was a little intimidated by the distance down and didn't lean over far enough to get a clear view. It's like looking over the edge of a seven story building.

Re: Mt Crosby Pumping Station
I like the first shot very much. The angle is good. I will remember this when I see one when I go home to Oz for a visit soon.
