    Another recumbent bicycle shot...

Recently I photographed several people riding recumbent bicycles, but this shot has a story along with it. The couple are from Canada and are nine months into a two-year bicycle trip to Patagonia. They passed by near where I live and I just had to find out their story. C & C always.

    Great capture and story, Dean.
Did you have to travel very far to get the photo?

Thank you, Sergio. I was about 2 miles from home when I spotted them on the highway.

Very nice shot of the two of them... apart from the little story you told here, are they sponsored? Do you know why they are doing this kind traveling? They seem to be enjoying themselves... Two years on that recumbent vehicle is not my kind of comfort.

Recumbents are actually known in the bike world for their comfortable positioning.

This guy has just become the world record holder of the highest annual mileage challenge at 76,076 miles, breaking the previous record by around a thousand miles. The record has stood since 1939.

He uses a recumbent for part of his riding!
