I caught this a few weeks ago while visiting Duluth, MN.
Please comment and critique.

Very nice Paul,
If mine, I'd take 25-30% image height off the top edge - there's not much up there in compositional terms.
Good exposure, Dave

Nice image. I love the soft colors and the reflections. It would likely be worth the effort to try and pull a little more detail out of the sky.

Moved to appropriate forum. You will have more people look at the image here and make comments.
While I like using negative space in my work, I find that there is simply too much in this shot and I would crop far more tightly. If that much sky contributes to the look you want, then by all means, leave it If it does not, remove the portion that does not. I personally would get rid of a good 80% of what is showing as that would give you an interesting balance between the part of the sky showing heavy cloud cover and the part that is more lightly covered.

I love the colours in this shot, Paul. I wouldn't crop anything, though I might try to pull a bit more detail out of the sky. I think the negative space adds to the sense of isolation of the lighthouse and its insignificance in comparison to the vastness of the ocean.

I like this image with its wide expanse of sky because it can relax the mind and eyes....; of course, removing a part of sky will give more attention to the house and lighthouse, which will give another appeal, I feel

Re: Canal Park, Duluth MN
From the responses you've had it's obvious you've got a really good photo.
We photogs are a funny lot. We sometimes want things a bit different, but I think that's part of the nature of our affliction. It does, however, open us up to other ways of seeing and adds to our knowledge base. You've received a lot of good advice, but It's up to you to decide what fits your intent and personal vision.
I'm in the camp that likes it the way it is, but whatever you decide, you should be very happy with the shot.

Great colours. I thought at first glance the lights were too bright, but then decided they are good the way they are. To crop or not....I think both have merit. How is that for sitting on the fence?

Thanks for all of the comments. I'm still pretty new at this and appreciate all of the help. There certainly is a wealth of talent here.
