Hi Joe, your attempt seems fine.If you reduce the saturation of blues and aquas with HSL sliders, you will see that the blue color on the rocks will disappear too If you have PS , Color Balance Adjustment Layer is a helpful tool to remove color casts too.

    Tifany Falls, Hamilton Ontario

It still has a blue cast but less than before. The important thing here is that I learned how to reduce it.

It is far more important to get a good image than to try to force specific compositional rules into a situation where they don't work. I had a conversation with the professor who was teaching the photographic composition course I took at local community college at this time last year. He said that at least 80% of the work he sees submitted by students use that particular rule of composition. He also added that many times it actually had a negative impact on their work because they were slavishly following the rule. This prof has been teaching composition for over 20 years.
Thanks Manfred. I have been following this 'rule' rather slavishly for quite a while. I'll keep an open mind going forward.
