With so many people posting images of babies, I thought I would try my hand at a young child.

We were walking down the drive to my daughter's apartment building, when we met one of her neighbours who has an eight-month old son. His mother had him crawling on the hood of the car, so while my wife and his mother chatted for a few moments, I snapped a shot.

Nope. The metadata says 73mm on my mFT camera (146mm FF equiv.), so the shot was done with a medium telephoto focal length. Definitely not UWA.

His mother was very careful as she didn't want him falling. I would have done the same if I were in her place and found that her hands added a quirky element to the image.

Beautiful boy........and I like the photo very much too.....I bet when he is older his Mother will not let him anymore crawling on the car though ........

When he is older he will have his head stuck under the bonnet... A very inquisitive look. He possibly thought your big red Canadian jacket looked a bit unusual.
