This is not remotely close to my typical style of wine photography, but I just couldn't resist making it. I'm glad I did because the process was one heck of a lot of fun.

Setup
The tabletop is made of pieces of slate typically used for landscaping. The background is translucent black art paper with gold flecks. A medium continuous-light lamp at the right fitted with a red gel lights that side of the bottle and the background. A small continuous-light lamp on the left front fitted with a diffusion sock lights that side of the bottle. The camera is level.
