    Failed fosters

Foster families are a very important facet of most rescue organizations. It is the foster who provides a loving temporary home for a rescue while that rescue is waiting for a furever home. Fosters also provide rehabilitation for rescue dogs who have had surgery and provide socialization for dogs some of whom have never known a human's affection or care...

There are times however, when the foster just cannot give up the dog he or she is fostering and adopts the dog. We jokingly call these "failed fosters"

In actuality, they are anything but failures. The foster parent gets a dog he or she knows and loves while the dog stays in the loving home that has already been established...

Here are some of our organization's rescue dogs who have been adopted by their foster parents...

    Re: Failed fosters

Our fosters always have first choice at adopting the dogs that they are fostering. Yes it is sometimes difficult to give up a foster dog but, it makes room for other dogs who need us.

My wife and I adopted Oliver after a lot of thought and decision making.

If the personal dog is as beautiful as the photo, I will be another failed foster. I just love doggies. I must be an apprentice dog caretaker in heaven.
