    Very nice Brian,

    I like the 'secluded' nature of the shot - I'd guess you had to be careful not to block the light while taking the shot.

    The water drops and their glints really make it work.

    not as careful as i was a few months back before I started loosing weight. Got to agree the water drops do make it.

    That is a quite uncommon background for a flower which, you successfully incorporated into this image

    Great light and nice water droplets. However, the unique and very successful characteristic is the texture of the wood as the background of the soft pedals. Ansel Adams also photographed a rose against a background of highly textured wood in one of his few famous images that is a closeup.

    Adams is a name that keeps cropping up of late i shall have to look at his work. The 'wood' is actually the fallen and desiccated leaves of the Black bamboo plant that the rose bush intertwines with.
