    Geranium Bloom

I winter some geraniums inside during the winter. Have started to bring them back to life so they will look good when it is warm enough to move them outside. First tiny bloom.

I like it a lot. Often with pictures like this it is sharpened to the outmost. This is nicely controlled.

When you said you winter the geranium I thought you have a different method of doing it and wanted to ask you. I usually bring mine inside too and have lost many of these kinds here in the US as they are my favourite flowers to grow while living full time in Australia because of their different scents. This is nicely done, Ziggy. I like the colour very much. Perhaps they are OK to bring out now since we have better weather conditions? I will leave all the plants I have inside the house until we come back from our vacation.

Nice shot, Jim. Interesting shot from beneath and backlit they look like they are reaching for the light. Well done.

    Izzie,

I have about six plants that spent the winter downstairs in front of a large picture window in the walk out basement.

Don't give them much water during the winter. Now that we are coming out of winter I have started to give them more water and some plant food.

They are waking up from there slumber.

Much too early to go outside in Ohio.

I only have two of them and both are flowering furiously on the shelves of my kitchen windows. It is easy to propagate them -- just clip and put in a pot. We water ours every three weeks and we watered all our pot plants yesterday so they will be OK for a while until we come back home.
