    Autumn in Tasmania

A surprise today, spotted these while out on the golf course, had to come back later with the camera. Looks like we might have a good fungi season

What a beauty!!! If you have no hesitations about editing, kindly remove the dark thing above the mushroom

Nice shots Greg. Needed the edit. Fly Agaric I think. I have never spotted these with camera in hand and returning later, I usually find they are half eaten or past their best. Lord knows what eats them because I think they are relatively poisonous.

If you had, you may have ended up with an image like this.

The edit is a good one but with Rob's version, I missed the redness of the mushroom. It is orange now...I like the second version but the yellowish/greenish patches above the mush should have been more cleaner. I see you are using Photoshop CC. If you have the Nik plugin, in Color Efex you should use the graduated filter and use of the vertical slider will be helpful...

I assume if they were in the middle of a fairway they would be safe from only but the very good golfers or did you spot them while visiting a remote hidden region of the rough?

Good image taken from an excellent dew point....

Thanks Izzie, I don't have the Nik plugin but will look into it, just bought a new iMac and setting up Photoshop on it in the next few days so will have a look then.
Paul, I get my moneys worth when I play golf, tend to explore all parts of the course
