    Watching her leave..

Watching her leave..Untitled by Sharon Reid, on Flickr

Not going to bore you with the details of my life at the moment...but leaving is big on the agenda...leaving my home..my town..my people...my past.

Exciting and more than a little scary.

This scene spoke volumes to me.

    Re: Watching her leave..

I'm liking this one much better than the other beach scene you posted. This one speaks a bit clearer, or louder (to me anyway). Two people, a dog, all appear to be walking away, toward the horizon, the line of surf and high tide mark leads us to the furthest person, and beyond. Coulda titled it 'the things I leave behind'. From personal experience I can attest that moving on, while maybe not the first choice, can end up being the best choice. For what it's worth...

    Thank you Binnur.

All change is scary..big changes are scarier..but nothing in life stays the same.

I think I'll be just fine. xx

My God, what a powerful narrative. Even without your explanatory text, the power and meaning in that image is immense.

Even the poor dog - "Do I go? Do I stay?"

Those of us who love animals, especially our family animals, know that they are often more loyal to us than human friends, even family, can be. I call my animal house mates my "four foot friends" and have known and still do, their extreme loyalty. To imagine what this four foot friend may be feeling is agonizingly heart rending!

I hope this wasn't the case in real life for this fellow!

Thanks for sharing the image with us, and hoping you will feel better as time goes by.

Well, as a good friend of mine says "I'm fine, unless you have an hour to spare"

    I'll pm you.

I think the dog is the central element in this composition. It's body language allows the poignant connection between the two figures.

    Sharon,

Your imagery never fails to create an intriguing and astounding 'narrative' without words. Your titles merely add to that.

We all have challenges but moving on is fundamental to that change.

    Good luck for the future....

As usual, everything that needed to be said, has already been said, the nearest being Greg and Ian's comments so +1 to them.
