Seems to do it well. Nicely captured.
I like everything except the clarity, and I'm not referring to a post-processing term. I immediately notice the lack of resolution at every size I can display here and I would be willing to bet I wouldn't have noticed it if you had used your other camera system. If I'm right about that, perhaps the moral of the story is to learn which types of photos work "well enough" with the smaller camera.
An excellent image; its look as if taken from an archive just adds to the punch
Thank you for the comments
I agree 100%. The Lumix is good. Very good. And I love it already. But, it's not a Canon 5DS or indeed a 7DMkII .... and it's not meant to be. The images certainly don't stand up so well to being processed; e.g. firing up the 'dynamic brightness', 'soft contrast' and 'structure' controls on Silver Efex Pro.

I have my LX100 strapped to my left wrist and my Olympus E-1 dangling with a 40-150mm 2.8. I like the reassuring click from the LX100. They complement each other perfectly.
Cheers Ole
Looks like a bit of a slope left to right on the sea Donald and the shadows are a bit blocky. Quality wise, I'm less bothered. This is the sort of nice opportunistic shot that you might not have captured for the lack of a carry all (if that is the right expression)camera. If you're like me, your problem might be that the convenience of the Lumix might mean that you favour it over the 5DS more of the time.
Good photo may be unsharp, composed against any 'rule' or whatever manner that upsets technical purists but good photo is a good one. A bit of work on the sky and let us be a aprt of their conversation
This is a nice enough composition, with a group of three in a good place and some subtle, contributory detail in the sky to justify the aspect ratio.
I'm not entirely sure I understand why it should be softer at the 1 MP presented here - if down sized and sharpened appropriately - noting this will likely require different sharpening settings from the DSLR cameras, (I feel) it shouldn't be noticeable.
I can't decide about the levelness, if I look in certain places (e.g. mid-distance), I deduce it needs some anti-clockwise rotation, but overall (close in and far distance), it looks OK.

You're right, John. I thought I'd got it correct. But even if I am not that far off, you're edit looks much better. There were a lot of angles involved and trying to get a good horizontal was a challenge.
I thought about this one a bit before commenting. I'd not have had the wherewithal to include so much sky at time of capture. But it adds to the sense of isolation/privacy of the group. Nicely done.
Thank you, Dan.
I hope that's part of the strength of CiC that we can all learn something from each other and be exposed to the ideas of colleagues that we ourselves would not have thought about. If we close our minds to different ideas, then me might as well pack up and go home.
