Stalking, Patience and a little luck

Unprocessed RAW footage taken of a Cockatoo launching into flight from my balcony...literally had 10 seconds to prime my camera for the shot.

    HI Derek, welcome to CiC.
The photo looks good but deserves to be seen on a larger scale.
Have a look at the link below on posting options, I use the Tiny Pics option which works for me.
    Cheers, Greg

UPDATE Re: Stalking, Patience and a little luck - Image Resized

Excuse any repetition on my maiden post - I will get the hang of this next time around. All comments welcome before I run this through Adobe Camera Raw.

Welcome Derek I wouldn't have the bird too centered in the frame. So, I would crop the image from where the metal thing on the RHS meets the bottom frame. This would also eliminate the unnecessary stuff on the RHS. The rest is up to you in PP. Don't forget to sharpen the image

    PS. A beautiful bird

Here least you could have done about a busy background, but the image is a rare situation; Welcome

Quick thinking shot! You have done very well indeed. I would have lost the bird in the frame if I am to be quick to this same hip shot...
