    Segregation

I certainly hadn't planned this shot, but the scene grabbed my interest.
whether conscious or subconscious, this is something we see every day.

That's an interesting shot. It reminds me of a series of pictures I saw recently of people in lifts, how they interact or not.

I like how they're both facing in opposite directions. It's also interesting that they have personal belongings on the bench next to them. Either to keep folks from sitting down or at least keep them at a distance if they do.

    Well seen.

Very meaningful image, it symbolizes the increasing lack of communication among people. I would rotate the image a bit though as the man on the left and the line on the wall seem tilted

    Great image, powerful social commentary.

I think the image is level at the bottom - perhaps clone out the lines on the wall to stop any rotation confusing the eye?

Hi Simon The tilted line on the wall is not a big problem but the man on the left also seems tilted to me . If it is not bothering you may be it is just my eyes which feel disturbed.

He and his bench, not the photographer, have tilted him. He is leaning to the viewer's right and his bench gets lower toward the center, which causes him to appear even more tilted to the viewer's right. Notice that the end of his bench on the viewer's left is not tilted.

I like the image too. Both are sitting on the most difficult part of the bench.
I wonder with what purpose this bench was designed. It seems to ask for a couple in the middle leaning to each other.

Maybe they are really not talking to one another but knows one another too, but was brought there by circumstances. This is what it looks to me. Very good catch.
