Hi Izzie,
Thanks for taking time out of your Holiday (and Anika time) to comment.
Chloe is a girl, but yes, she does have similarities to Tom (poor thing)
I do see what you mean about the posed #4, it does look somewhat contrived.
#8, yes, Rebecca was on a flat sofa, but you're correct the Chloe would have looked more comfortable and natural if she had been horizontal and Rebecca was laying at a shallow angle - unfortunately that wasn't really possible with the furniture available - although perhaps we could try harder next time.
Once again, thanks Izzie.
Will we see a thread of Anika pictures from you, I wonder?
Cheers, Dave
Beautiful photos!! On photo #5 Meet the parents, I think I would have liked to seen a little bit more of the mom (posed differently) it kind of looks like her head is growing out of the dad's shoulder -- Just my opinion Besides that it is a beautiful set of photos.
Thanks Kathy,
You're right about that in Meet the Parents (which is actually #4), it crossed my mind while PP'ing, but it was too late to do anything by then, fortunately there are others. We were trying for a tighter grouping than an earlier shot (not processed), where they were too far apart - seems we over-compensated
Thanks for your thoughts, that might stick in my Noggin and be remembered next time (I hope).
Cheers, Dave
I looked at your shots here again in #8 and looked and looked because something bothered me in this posing...it just dawned o me that the subject is the baby Chloe and she is really beautiful (though uncomfortable) but I think Rebecca looking at the camera took that beauty away from Chloe by looking at the camera. Just a thought.
As for Anika...I already have enough each day to fill the rest of my year of her and we are not even here a week yet. I will try to take pictures of her at appropriate dates that coincide with my P52 (and others too) and submit them to CiC when I come back. In the meantime, I am busy teaching her Mom how to operate the camera I gave her...and showing her how Photoshop and Nik software does wonder...
I think you may be on to something here Izzie,
Either everyone, including Chloe, should be looking at the camera, or no-one should - because they are looking at each other.
The shots where I have a mixture are the ones that seem to work least well.
In fact, in the case of #8, apart from Rebecca's angle and the consequence on Chloe (head down much too far), perhaps Rebecca should have been 'asleep' too.
Thanks, Dave
PS
Looking forward to seeing your next few P52 posts when you're home soon.
(I think I read somewhere you are flying back sometime 'today' - a weird concept given where I am, plus where you are (or were) and where you will be (or are)
Now I got you thinking...Good. At least I feel I am giving back some favours you did for me...hehehehe...
I think I mentioned something like "coming back from our trip" -- we did. DIL and Anika and I went to the Melbourne Aquarium because I haven't been. Last Good Friday, we went to Chocolaterie at Yarra Valley and met with another three families to have a picnic and let the kids attend some sessions of the Easter Egg Hunt. Bill said to bring only my baby camera. I shot a few and was frustrated. So yesterday, we did not bring my mule and brought my adult camera. I had a whole day of fun -- until we have to go back home...the boys were left behind and crying foul...PS

Today we are going to a circus...without the boys again. I am going to bring my adult-only camera. And I am going to have so much fun. Having a 3-year-old around is so much fun. But we need to change a few misconceptions around here about women. I will PM you about it to warn you of things to come when Chloe grows up to this age...
