It is OK, Jim, but it doesn't really grab my attention and make me go wow!

Maybe I would try slightly reducing the amount of reflection and concentrate more on the seat by having a different size ratio.

I was thinking the same as Geoff. The bright blue sky reflection drew my initial attention. for a better focus on the bench, a crop that places the bench about 1/3 up from the bottom edge. This would cut the bright blue and make the bench, not the sky reflection, the subject.

Oh, sorry if you regard mine as mean critique. Actually, I find the image nice, particularly if some of the near water is cropped away.

But I prefer seeing it as a picture, and I can vividly remember times when I was in similar places, and I doubt that I would sit for very long on that bench. Even now, looking at it, my calves start itching, with sensory memory of the jejenes in Cuba and mosquitoes in Gysinge. Of course the Ohio river also has the Aedes aegypti, which is responsible for my present condition.

I guess my sensory reaction might have something to do with my return from Cuba 1:st of February, with dengue fever. It is not over completely yet, with low blood platelets and sleep disorders. They say it might take three months to recover and I am only into the second.

So the image has an impact.

Sorry Jim but I too find your photo confusing. My eyes keep going above then below the bench and can't seem to settle anywhere. Perhaps one of these two crops might work better.

I suspect this is one of those scenes where everybody will come up with slightly different thoughts.

Thanks all for the comments and the feedback and thanks Andre for taking the time to play with the image.

This is one I tried different things with and never was happy with the results.

    I think Geoff is right.
