March - Project 12 - St David's Day
This month's photo challenge has been difficult. The themes were St David's Day, St. Patrick's Day, daffodils and leeks or something green. It'staken a while for any inspiration to come.....and I'm still not wholly satisfied.
But here is first attempt. I was given a clue to this from Mike Buckley's egg photos - from which I loved the colour contrast of the yellow and white and his lighting. So I have attempted to develop this into the theme.
Thoughts for improvement and/or more creative ideas welcome.
Two shots - one more closely cropped than the other and the focus points moved.

The crop looks good to me; although I appear to be seeing dark lines on some of the petal edges.
Full size is also OK but you have missed the tip of the bottom petal and I'm not personally over keen on the grainy look.
Tricky, these flower shots aren't they; as I know from experience and a great many rejected shots.

I prefer the cropped image, IMO the center of the flower needs brightening a bit

Thanks all for commenting - I'll try the brightening. I have all week to develop the theme too, so composition may change !
