Helpful Posts: Family day out to Durham today for a wander along the river, a look round the cathedral, a bit of shopping and lunch out. With us was my X-T1 and the 35mm which never moved from f1.4 - I also bunged the camera onto one of its monochrome film simulations and looked for shots where light overruled colour.
My two boys have grown up wth a camera pointed at them and are always up for a photo op......
While these were shot in raw they are very, very close to how the camera spat them out with the Fuji film simulation applied. I've lightened the shadows as I prefer them softer but little else.

Since I don't shoot much in the way of people I can't offer much in the way of useful critique. But these two shots are a clinic in technique on using lighting and DOF to isolate the subject. Nicely done.
