Nicely captured. Excellent color and detail and the birdie offered a nice pose. You might consider pulling a bit more detail out in the eye with some selective PP. It's an odd choice of crop. A bit more headroom for the little guy would be nice.

Yes, that is nice Bernard
I agree with regard to it being worth trying to dodge the eye area and get more detail.
With regard to the aspect ratio/crop, the angle of the branch in the frame and negative space on the left, I think these combine to give the image a feeling of action which is especially relevant to this species that rarely sit still for more than a few seconds before launching off somewhere else, usually in a noisy gaggle with several others.

That's nice Bearnard. I agree that some work on the eye would be worth while. My only other thought is that you don' t really need all of the left hand side. Nice and sharp with an appropriate background.
