Hmmm, it is interesting; mainly because I can't work out 'what happens next'
    (Botanically speaking)

Regarding composition; I'm not sure I like the position of the top edge of frame cutting across the join like that - you know how fussy I am

Instead of spending more time analysing this, I am going to attempt my self set challenge, I have a half hour free to find something outside - while the sun shines and before I need to go out again. Although that's not long to find and capture something well (unless I get lucky).

    Cheers, Dave

I have taken the liberty of posting a crop of this photo. I love these kinds of images, but to suit my taste, I find they really need to be inspected carefully for line and then cropped appropriately. Some times, for me, a part is better than the sum of the whole. I will gladly remove this post if it is unwanted.

Don't you dare remove it. It's an interesting take on the basic idea. The only problem is that it makes me lust after the macro lens I am waiting to purchase.

    Thanks Brian,

I did shoot some and they are on my computer, but I'm out taking more Baby pics today, so won't be able to process until the weekend.

It also shows what's possible until then; e.g. that you did well with focus and sharpness, even when substantially cropped.

    Cheers, Dave
