New K9 Class - C&C welcomed
Hi everyone. A new K9 class has started and once again I'll be following them on their journey.
I'm struggling with deciding whether or not I place this image in the gallery for the handlers (they sometimes view the images as a class) due to the emotions it sparks in me. I'm interested to hear your thoughts ~ as I witnessed the day, I may view it differently than you.

It is a powerful image Kim, not that I know the back story, I can only guess.
As a stand alone image for viewers that don't know the guy, it is valid.
If likely to be viewed by his colleagues in happier times, they may not react as 'the day's events warrant - unless they too were part of it. Unfortunately, I'm not sure I'm making myself very clear.

Nicely captured and processed. What exactly are the two doing, is this part of a morning ritual or just a moment captured. If they are honoring a fallen comrade then it might have impact, if it is just a captured moment then there doesn't appear to be any interaction between the two. I guess the final interpretation might be left to the viewer.

I can only view this as a stand alone image Kim and it works for me in the context of your title. The impression I get is of a handler having instructed a dog that is not yet at the stage of paying total attention.

Thank you Dave, John and John for commenting. You all have a piece of it. This was an obedience training day -- it was week 2 and the first time all (8) the k9s worked together. This particular handler was having a very difficult day - their connection has not yet developed, and I don't believe he has had much experience with dogs. I'm interested to see how these two develop.
