    Looking up

The flags at the plaza of the Washington Monument on America's National Mall were at half mast in homage to the victims of the two terrorist bombings in Brussels. If the flags had been flying at their normal position, the perspective wouldn't have been nearly as compelling in my mind.

An interesting juxtaposition of her walking against the direction of the wind blowing the flags. Her looking up at them is an added bonus.

    Well captured.

    Awesome Mike!
I had a play and I think there is a pretty good portrait image in the middle as well.

Well captured, Mike. Interesting that she is looking at the one odd an out (comparatively).

Wonderful shot, I agree about the flags being at half mast - sadly it seems to say a lot about the times we live in

Oddly, when I close my eyes, I see dancers.
