This the first time to shot engagement session.. Just trying experimenting shoting style..
critique & comments are always welcome...

Image 1:- Concept is ok, but the lady is probably facing the sun, hence her eyes are squeezed.
# 2:- Seems the focus was on the lady's slippers.
# 3:- Lady is washed out
# 4:- The lady is giving more of disgusted look, which doesn't go fine with the concept.
# 5:- Not well focused, again. I guess its the ring you wanted to highlight.

Hi James,

A quick comment. The idea is good and you have drawn good emotional connection between the two with the way you have them looking at each other.

One big problem is you are shooting in the middle of the day with very harsh light and the backgrounds conflict with your subjects.

If you look in this thread Colin has just started to run a portrait class. You have great models to work with so I strongly recommend you follow this course and participate. I look forward to seeing your results as you follow Colin’s tuition.
