Re: Silhouettes
Hi Randy: I like the concept of this shot, but.... I'm wondering if it might be better without so much foreground (I know there's not a lot there now, but I'm thinking at least crop the blurred part right at the bottom. I'd probably leave just enough to see what the birds were standing on.
Also I wonder if you could tone down the background a tad. It might just be my eyes but it seems extremely bright. Hope someone else might comment on that part, because my screen has not been calibrated for a long time.

Re: Silhouettes
Nandakumar-Thank you for the kind words, you posts have been inspirational to me
Wendy- Long time since I have heard from you, I hope all is well. You are correct, I got a little artsy with this one....I was shooting directly into the sun with this one. I knew that either the cranes would be under exposed or the sky would be blown out. I decided to go with it and converted to B&W (blame it on Donald)
I went ahead and posted another version with color

Re: Silhouettes
Adding a tint of red really changed the mood of the image; really well done

Re: Silhouettes
Definitely the second image for me Randy. The white sky just overpowers the rest of the image in the first. Nice idea that comes into its own in the second version.

Re: Silhouettes
Yup, that's much nicer. I'm glad it was not just my screen. Nice shot, I like the poses of the birds and the silhouette works to show that nicely.
