    Not all Princes are handsome

Okay, let you non ozzies into a secret. All those glossy magazine piccies of roos, like this one you see below, don't tell the full story.

    Not all Princes are handsome

The truth is not all roos are handsome, chic, debonair and instantly loveable!

Some are scraggy sad individuals, who look as if they could do with a bit of loving and a big hug! Like this pathetic chap, with a face that even a mother would be hard pressed to love, who dropped by to visit us the other day. He was a loner and an outcast from his family group of roos. Roos travel in family groups. He was probably just lonely and looking for a friendly face and a kind word. So, we paused in what we were doing and had a bit of a chat with him.

    Not all Princes are handsome

Thanks for viewing. And yes, I accept this post does not deserve comment. Just posted it to make the point that all animals are not beautiful and instantly loveable. Some are ugly 'Plain Janes,' who non the less also deserve to be loved as well.

They might need a hug, but from all the videos I've seen they give quite a kick if you get that close. Nice captures.

Awwww, I disagree about #2 he may be a bit scruffy compared to the King in #1, but he looks quite lovable, the king not so much, I think I'd stay away from him, he looks quite fierce.

What are the odds for survival for the cute little loner?

Indeed, we can't all be the rugged, gorgeous creatures that have others swooning over us. Only a few of us are so blessed !!

But, aaawww. Like Wendy says, lovable.

We were just about 96km from Seymour last Friday having passed Christmas Hills on our way to Chocolatier, Yarra Valley for an Easter Egg Hunt event with three other families from my DIL' s church. On the way home, we nearly had an accident when a grey crossed the road. We do not have a roo bar in our car.

Your shot here is typical look of roos here in Oz - rugged and bedraggled. Good shot! I like #2 better for the shine in his eyes...

Donald, why must you flaunt your multifold physical attributes to make the rest of us 'ordinaries ' feel so inadequate and short changed in the gene pool?

And thank you all for your comments. They are very much appreciated.
Roo#1 was just checking us out in a friendly way. Had we bothered him he would have been standing fully erect in fighting mode, and would be towering over 6 foot. Me, being only 5 ft 7in on tallest tippy toes, he would have the height advantage. We won't even bother to consider the muscle power differential! No way I would tangle with him. Have a look at 'Flutter by' post which we have posted to show something more in my fighting size and weight class, as well as to show we do shoot things other than our resident roos!

    Cheers
