    New Lens

I was away on a short vacation, and of course the new lens I ordered came in the day I left. I picked up my Sigma 30mm f/2.8 from the apartment office this morning and then went out shooting to play with it and see what it is capable of. I'm fairly pleased, this is a very sharp lens and handles very well for both AF and manual focus. I also recently picked up a Sony 55-210 that I am enjoying. After having most of my 'kit' stolen last July I am making some progress in rebuilding around the Sony a6000. I need a true wide angle and a true macro at this point to really feel I have my bases covered but I'm getting there!

Here's one to show that autumn hasn't totally cornered the market on colors

I need to find out what these little flowers are called but they are striking

I think if you still have room to move on #1, I would suggest putting the stem right at the corner, top RHS or crop square. The top seems to lack room to move. Flowers in #2 I cannot an ID for you, sorry but it is a nice shot, I like it for the spread you made there. #3 is my best favourite here and it will be nice if you can clone out the incomplete stems.

? Not obvious to me. I have a wide angle zoom lens that needs a bit of correcting but it is easier to see (before correction) than in the photographs above. Maybe a hint of it in the out of focus area in the last photo but at the size posted not sure.

I hate spring photographs from the northern hemisphere almost as much as I hate the summer ones...

It jumped right out at me with the sizes posted on the 2nd and 3rd image, just something to consider correcting as it doesn't offer any aesthetics to the composition.

Yep, your eyes are better than mine or you have them displayed on a bigger screen.
