Not sure where to put this question: What size does this site post my shots?

The last hover fly shot i posted here was deemed 'soft'. Fair enough. But it didn't look as soft on other sites. Could this have to do with the small size of the shot?

You want to post a size that doesn't get resized here, at least not resized when it is viewed at the largest size in the Lytebox. Depending on the method you use to present messages here, that size is different. Review this thread to find the information. Be aware that you might need to wade through quite a bit of the thread to get to the information that specifically applies to the method you use.

Not if you sharpen it after downsizing.

Also, not if viewed in LyteBox at 100%.

I assume we're talking about this one?

You hosted it at 800px × 659px, so it may look soft when viewed in thread unexpanded (scaled to 700px × 577px), but if viewed full size in LyteBox, it will be as sharp as you uploaded it - assuming you did upload at 800px × 659px.

However, if you uploaded larger than that and you hosting company is providing a version that is 800px × 659px, then again, that may soften it.

I agree that normally your shots are pretty sharp, especially the first hoverfly one.

So did you do anything different with this one when processing and/or uploading?

    HTH, Dave
