Nice use of the negative vignette. The image would make a great note card.
Nice shot, Joe and nice use of a negative vignette.
I vignette most of my images, but generally ensure that they are not noticeable. It's a bit tougher to do with white, but play around with the feathering and transparency to see what that does for your image.
Nice shot and a nice concept for PP. Awesome composition. Maybe a little more subtlety with the vignette.
Nice image Joe, I agree with the other members about the vignette![]()
Thanks Manfred. I rearlyy use vignetting so have little or no feel for it. I decided to try it because there was nothing to see in the top and bottom left side, and I wanted to keep the rocks leading out into the lake. Si i dwcuded ro try it. ?Thanks for the guidance and encouragement.

This is definitely an improvement over the first image. Nicely done Joe! Playing around with it is really the only way to learn and figure out what is / is not working for you.
You are a bit limited in what you can do in Lightroom, but in Photoshop, I will sometimes go back and manually manipulate the vignette using a layer mask to fine tune it even more.
Excellent.
It's really nothing more than developing a consistent style that you happen to like; it doesn't matter what anyone else likes unless you are trying to sell the image to them.
I like the edit better, Joe...you did very well there. Sometimes a vignette is just a matter of taste.
