It looks like a commercial shot for....well, for almost anything. Can't see this in anything BUT color. Great shot Sergio, and composition. Really the more I look at it, the more it seems to be a professional setup and shot (someone will point out some glaring error or fault I'm not seeing but no matter, Great. Shot.)

Another outstanding shot, Sergio. Great location and timing on this shot.

The only minor quibble is that I don't love the bright spot at the bottom right hand corner, as that catches a bit too much of my attention.

Manfred. I agree with the bright spot.. I placed a NIK Viveza control point on the bright concrete and adjusted the circle to cover all the area in which the concrete is bright, then reduced brightness. The bike's rear tire became too dull so I quickly corrected that by placing a control point on the tire bringing back the original look.



The whole operation took less than a minute... A lot less time than typing this explanation

It's neat that NIK is now free. I don't feel badly when I show a suggestion done with NIK Software

Thanks, Dave. It's appreciated. I try and spot things as much as possible. A lot of times I see things but I miss them, and other times I watch them happen and think "Why didn't I react to that". I've got a lot to learn, but I'm glad I got this one.

I appreciate the edit. You certainly toned down that area. I want to give it a try myself and see what I come up with.

Thank you, Jack. I felt the same way when I brought it up on my computer at home. It was so much about the color I didn't even consider a b&w conversion. I appreciate the compliment about the commercial/professional setup and shot. I got lucky, and I was able to capitalize on everything that fell into place.

Thank you, Mike. I appreciate you taking the time. I like Richard's edit, but when I look at them in lightbox I see what you're talking about. I'm going to try an edit in Viveza and bring it into Photoshop as a layer and then use a mask and brush to try an isolate the effect.

I know that Richard like the control points in Nik, but I find them virtually useless for detailed work, they are just too hit & miss (actually, I find they miss more than they hit). I tend to stick to more traditional selection tools and incorporate them into my workflow via clipping masks and layer masks when I use Nik software.

I know that Richard like the control points in Nik, but I find them virtually useless for detailed work, they are just too hit & miss (actually, I find they miss more than they hit). I tend to stick to more traditional selection tools and incorporate them into my workflow via clipping masks and layer masks when I use Nik software.

I find the Nik tools very useful, and it's only seldom that I do not incorporate them into Photoshop in a manner similar to yours.
