I'm bored, and it's dark/raining outside. Here's a challenge for you - somebody think of an idea for me to shoot right now, and I'll see what I can come up with (kinda like "dial-a-photo", but without the charges)!

An artistic representation of the contents of your camera bag that you would be carrying on a typical walk round Nelson Airfield
Well, in that case ........
(By the way, I got the tip about using a handstrap from a previous post you made. Got the battery pack and handstrap for the 40D and haven't looked back. Love it.)
an artistic representation of the desk and its table-top contents at which you are reading this message.
If you are still bored, try to capture steam from a boiling pot.
You could always try...
1. Getting a mistress.
2. Walking around the entire coast of NZ (but for God's sake leave the camera at home)
3. Getting drunk for the next three months on your very excellent NZ wines.
4. Repainting the garage walls... no, forget that one.
5. Volunteer to become Kate Winslett's personal assistant.
6. Bore a hole in your head with an electric drill to see how much it hurts....
PS: You might want to forget the last one too.
Hi Rob,
So which numbers have you tried?
(no, perhaps better not answer that)
They all have the potential to be life changing ideas though, and hence should resolve the boredom problem
I'm quite willing to answer that, my good friend...
1. I don't need a mistress, my wife is too good for me.
2. I have walked most of the coast of the UK
3. Yes, I am very fond of NZ wine.
4. I painted the garage walls last year (white)
5. I already am Kate Winslett's personal assistant.
6. I have not bored a hole in my head with an electric drill to see how much it hurts, as we are experiencing a power cut at present... but watch this space.
Thanks for the suggestions folks, but it's a new day here now and I'm not yet bored
Interesting list there Rob ... obviously deserving of a few comments ...
Too old (think of me as bing like Al Bundy / George Roper!)1. Getting a mistress.
I actually do a LOT of walking (I try for about 15km a day, down from around 30km a day) but of recent I've been too much of a couch potatoe2. Walking around the entire coast of NZ (but for God's sake leave the camera at home)
I'm pretty much the "anti-christ" when it comes to wine - I usually average one alcoholic drink about once every 3 to 5 years (Bacardi & Coke "ususally"). My daily drink of choice (that I'd prefer over wine or champaign or spirits any day of the year) is cold & flat budget diet lemonade (we buy 1.5 litre bottles in boxes of 12, which last about a week around here) - usually between 89c and $1.25 a bottle)3. Getting drunk for the next three months on your very excellent NZ wines.
Forget what?4. Repainting the garage walls... no, forget that one.
Now that would be interesting, but being a photographer I'd probably take a shot and then get fired for photoshopping her too much (she doesn't like that).5. Volunteer to become Kate Winslett's personal assistant.
I've got too many holes in my head as it is ... kids are always telling me that I need to keep at least one of the existing ones closed more!6. Bore a hole in your head with an electric drill to see how much it hurts....
