Nicely captured.
Ashish - this is just too common a sight in Asia and Africa. You are driving along and suddenly get to stop because the cows or goats are heading up the road and you are not going anywhere fast. Thanks for bringing back some memories with the great shot...
Just to be perfectly honest, I remember the same thing happening in Spain when we got in behind some goats and in the city where I live at the Government Experimental Farm (which is well inside of the city boundary), with cows being moved from one pasture area to another. It's not just something one sees in the developing world!
Ashish, your cow photo has really grabbed my attention. The best parts I think are the very clear focal points on the two that have stopped to pose for you, there is also excellent depth of field for the rest of the shot resulting in a good perspective, I think I'm there with you. The dust from the other guys adds interest and context. The black and white has been done well. I don't really have anything that I can suggest for improvement, very good.
Superbly processed picture resulting in a superb image.
Hi Ashish,
It is nicely processed, but...
I just wish we could see the feet of the foreground pair though, the crop across their legs spoils it for me I'm afraid.

Hi Ashish,
I see what you mean, but for me "impactful" comes from the size of viewer presentation.Originally Posted by ashish
By that I mean that if these are viewed on a 4.5 inch smartphone screen at typical arms length, they still won't be impactful.
However, when viewed on a 23 inch monitor from a fairly short distance (typical VDU distance also = arm's length), because they fill more of our eye's field of view, they make an impact.
Therefore, I think you could probably get away with including the legs, perhaps losing a little from the top of frame to compensate, so the chest and head remains about the same size it is here (when viewed in LyteBox).
The contrast of them versus the dusty background also does much to give them impact.
Cheers, Dave
Although I agree with Dave's assessment of the lack of legs, I still like the impact of the whole scene and the crispiness of the shot of the two cows posing for you. What I noticed unusual is the look of the receding cows is almost plasticky...or is it too late for me to be staying awake?
