Despite all the discussion about the various types of wheeled transportation, the subject, or at least the primary subject, for me is the man with the umbrella. For me, the photo is a mismatch of subject and the story intended to be told.

However, the image still works for me because it very effectively tells the story of four methods of individuals' mobility. I especially like that that the method most prominently displayed and in the foreground area of the image is the man relying on his own legs, as that would clearly be the ideal method of mobility (though the children have a pretty good deal).

I put less than 10 seconds thought into my titles for threads, also this proves photography is definitely subjective.

If I had seen two babies in the pram and the other two individuals walking, I wouldn't have bothered to take this shot.

What caught my eye and stuck with me is that you start off in a pram at the beginning of your life and highly possibly end up in a wheelchair or on a motability scooter towards the end of your life, and the similarities between these.

I thought the man in the middle made for a good divider, even though that was pure accidental.

When a thread title is intended to convey important information about the content of images in the genre of street photography, as an example as opposed to landscape photography, perhaps at least a few more seconds would be worthwhile.

Exactly my thought...!!! From your summation of why you chose this shot, I admired your quick thinking. I would had paused and think along the way and missed my mark -- then kick myself for not being quick enough to take it. I have a lot to learn from you and others about this kind of genre. Thinking on the feet isn't easy...

Its just practice, looking at a lot of street photography and having a rough idea of what you are looking for
