    Bigleaf Maple Series

This is a series of 4 shots of Bigleaf Maple from bud to leaf. The tree is in a neighborhood park and is likely 100 or so years old. Unfortunately, shortly after I took these shots, it blew down in a windstorm and blocked the trail. Neighbor kids have made forts out of the limbs and branches. Your comments are welcome.

Nice series, Tim. Kudos for following through the whole spring cycle. As a series, the last one with the leaves doesn't seem to fit. Seems like isolating a single leaf would have been a better match for the rest of the series. Also as individual shots it is the weakest IMO.

The first shot has what appears to be a processing issue in the form of a bright halo along the green stem just below the bud. For some reason it really gets my attention and bugs me.

    Nice job overall.

Thanks Dan. The halo in the first one could have occurred when I added some sharpening. I will re-process with a little more care. Appreciate your comments.

The story of a leaf. This is a nice inspiration since everything seems to be growing around by now that Spring reached my garden. I will take note of this post. Well done...
