The pp version is actually closer to the true colors. The soil was incredibly dark and loamy!

Can I be difficult and say somewhere between the two for me. ;)

is it the crop or the colors that give you pause?

Judith, that is certainly an eye catcher, I would have done the same, stopped and taken a shot. Your PP version has turned out very well, clear and bold, the lines of crops are amazing. I don't know what makes it purple, must be the particular crop.

Still catching up from being away. This is a cell phone photo taken from a moving car. It does lack some sharpness but I still liked it. C & C always welcome.
I really like what you have done here Judith, the structure has turned out very clear and bold and the lane lights add some interesting context to what could just be another structure.

Week 24--
Spring Rain
This is an old photo taken with an early Coolpix. I took a workshop from Michael Wood who developed the Miksang approach to photography. It influences my shooting and my post processing. I liked this photo but, until recently, did not have the skills to turn it into what I wanted it to portray.

Tibetan art of seeing. Simple pleasures. Sometimes it is really very hard "to see". But here you took a wonderful flower the way you saw it after the rain with the emotion you feel for the drops around the petals. It sounds poetic, Judith. Your crop is also very effective. I am not aware of Miksang until you mentioned it. I googled it came upon a website. The definition reminds me of a topic here recently about Lew Lorton's "Handling Kvelling".

Week 25 --Divergent Paths
Although my eye was caught by the two paths shown, using a cell phone my image was far from my idea. Hence a good candidate for post processing magic. I think I am about 90% of the way there with this one.

Good eye Judith. I doubt if I would have seen this 'picture within the picture ' here. Well done on the processing too!

Thanks! Had to learn a bunch about compositing to get this to work. Also finally spurred me to get my Wacom pad out and start using it.

I won it at a drawing at our photoshop users group. Many folks at C in C use them. gives you more control over edits than the mouse.

The edit looks fine, maybe not a prizewinner but perfectly acceptable.

Week 26--just play
Working at more proficiency with Photoshop and using my Wacom--as per my stated goals at the beginning of the year. In order to work through a video on compositing I chose two images from our most recent trip--not to make a great photo but to push on my skills.

Thanks Geoff.:. I have read the threads on the Tablets. Personally I think I have several areas in which I need to improve before thinking g of this. However thanks for sharing this info.
